Election Day in Singapore

Back to the 8th of July 2009, my parents and I went to Indonesia Embassy in Singapore to do the election. We went there at about 11 in the morning after I registered for my NAFA student card. The Embassy was in Chatsworth road so we took a taxi for 5 dollars. Then we arrived and it was full of people! Many Indonesian gathered to do the election. We took a long queue back then and I shoot some pictures from my blackberry. Here is what happened.

After that we went back with taxi.


It's so surprising to see all the people gathered together to do the election. They love their country even they were not there. It's not where you are but what you are, bravo Indonesia :)

Negeri Singa

Sekarang gw sudah berada di Singapore, negeri singa. Gw baru dateng sejak hari Minggu tanggal 5 July 2009. Kepergian gw diantar 3 teman gw, Patrick, Adi dan Ishadi. Singkat kata gw sampai di Singapore. Kesan pertama adalah WAW.

Singapore itu kecil, pohonnya ga selebat Jakarta, tapi maju, bersih dan tertib. Semua orang ga asal buang sampah.Ya katakanlah 90% orangnya taat peraturan. Menyebrang pun harus menunggu traffic light, ga kaya di Jakarta, asal kosong hajar aja!

Selain itu di Singapore ini semua serba tertata, ada daerah yang memang untuk sekolahan SD , SMP dan SMA, yang agak jauh dari pusat kota. Hal ini direncanakan dengan matang. Ada pula fasilitas Bus, MRT dan Taxi sebagai alat penghubung, atau kita dapat jalan kaki saja karena tempatnya bersih jadi jalan pun santai. Taxi di Singapore beragam, bahkan ada Mercedes Benz yang jadi Taxi. Rolls Roys tua pun ada. Mereka berani karena orang-orangnya tertib dan tau aturan. Orang Jakarta harus belajar dari penduduk Singapore. Mereka bahkan mayoritas menguasai 3 bahasa. Bahasa Inggris, Mandarin dan Melayu. Di Jakarta Inggris saja jarang, apalagi yang lain!

Bird day

Today is my birthday. I am 18 years old now! However, today seems nothing special. It seems like a normal day with so many people greet me with their words, hand shakes and voice. Thanks to all of you guys! :). But I thought this year is not gonna be the same like it used to be. I feel sad to know that my birthday is not great at all. Especially, you. Can't you feel what I am feeling? This day supposed to be my happiest day in a year, yet you aren't the one to whom I had long conversation with. You aren't the one who try to make this day happy for me. Why? Do I deserve happiness more than you do? My "happiest day" is fading.
